Refund policy
BYMS Refund & Return Policy
Effective date: 05/07/2026
By placing an order with BYMS, you agree to the terms below.
1. Custom Orders
Custom orders (any product built to your specifications, personalization, or design request) are made-to-order and cannot be returned or exchanged once production has started.
Payment terms:
- InstaPay: full payment required in advance before production begins.
- COD: 50% deposit required in advance; remaining 50% collected on delivery. Production does not start until the deposit is confirmed.
Refund cutoff:
- A custom order can be cancelled and fully refunded only before payment is confirmed/received.
- Once payment (or the 50% deposit for COD) is confirmed, the order is locked into production and is non-refundable and non-cancellable, except under Section 3 (Damaged or Defective Items).
2. Regular (In-Stock, Non-Custom) Orders
Regular orders may be returned or exchanged within 3 days of delivery, provided the item is:
- Unused and unassembled
- Not mounted, hung, or altered in any way
- In its original packaging, with all parts and accessories included
- Free of any damage not caused by BYMS or the courier
Cutoff for cancellation before shipping: regular orders can be cancelled and refunded free of charge up to 24 hours after order confirmation, or before the order ships, whichever comes first.
Items that fail to meet the above return conditions will not be accepted, and the item will be shipped back to the customer at their expense.
Return shipping costs:
- Customer-initiated return (change of mind): customer pays return shipping.
- BYMS error (wrong item, defect, damage in transit): BYMS covers return shipping.
3. Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:
- Contact BYMS within 48 hours of delivery, with photos/video of the item and packaging.
- Each case is reviewed individually. BYMS will determine, at its discretion, whether to offer a replacement, a repair, a partial refund, or a full refund, based on the nature and extent of the issue.
- This applies to both custom and regular orders — damage/defect claims are the one exception to the "custom orders are final" rule.
- Claims submitted after 48 hours, or without supporting evidence, may be declined.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following are never eligible for return, exchange, or refund once production/payment is confirmed:
- Custom or personalized orders (see Section 1)
- Items damaged due to customer misuse, incorrect mounting, or normal wear
- Items returned without original packaging or missing components
- Sale/clearance items marked as final sale
5. Refund Method & Timeline
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method (InstaPay) or via the agreed method for COD deposits.
- Refunds are processed within 7–14 business days of approval.
- Refunds do not include original shipping fees unless the return is due to a BYMS error (Section 3).
6. How to Request a Refund, Return, or Cancellation
Contact BYMS via [WhatsApp/Instagram/email — insert channel] with your order number and reason for the request. BYMS will confirm eligibility based on the terms above before processing.
BYMS reserves the right to update this policy. Changes apply to orders placed after the update date; orders placed prior are governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
